Scroll on down for a little story about the Fairy Creatures World, and what you can make of it.

Fairy Bug createchure characters are a feature of Fairies and Fantastical Creatures - How to Weave and Carve in Wool and Chenille published by Guild of Master Craftsman Ltd. (See book icon for publishers details). The projects consist of a variety of fairies & creatures plus models to make including homes, clothes, accessories and furniture for a pint sized world.

The main Fairies and characters are: Berry Fairy, Dragonfly Fairy, Acorn Fairy, Matte Moth Fairy, Acorn Fairy, Lily Fairy, Flora Bea, Honey Bea, Owl, Baby Bird, Grass hoppers, Pink Worm, Daisea Fairy, and King Rook a Regal Black Bird. Other Createchure friends such as the pink Worm, Honey Bea, Grass Hoppers, Flora Bea and Daisy Fairies appear in the craft book. Find out more about the Fairies, click on Characters icon.

The Fairies live in trees and tall grasses near a beautiful pond. Farms and fields close by provide a supply of the most beautiful, fragrant flowers and vegetation. Fairies share nature's bounty with birds and insect friends and spend most days searching for things to make and eat. These Fairies are especially strong and make everything from natural materials found in their surroundings. Some Fairies can fly, while others bounce and roll to move about. Some float the day away on lily pads and slip down under the surface swimming with underwater friends.

Fairies especially thrive on nuts, berries, toadstools, leaves, twigs, and use many varieties of small flowers to clothe and build their homes. Many of the items can be made with the projects so you can endlessly feed, furnish and clothe your tiny little friends.

They enjoy adorning themselves with the finds of the fields and forest. Using the most special and soft material known anywhere they make bedding from plant floss and velvety leaves. They roll candles and cups from bee's wax. Honey glue and pinesap connects things together. They sew cloth and fabric with pinecone needles. Tree bark strips turn to ropes and ladders climb from tree limbs and twigs rest to make furniture. Special fairy treats are Berries, Honey Drops and chewie knat wings. The Fairies live happily and abundantly using what naturally grows close by.

The craft book offers a range of projects setting challenges for all skills levels. There are many things to create for the fairies and some of their friends including a beautiful Tree House made from chenille stems. Some models consist of pipe cleaners or chenille stems only and other projects are made solely with pompoms. Some projects combine both like the soft owl and 2 birds. You can build a bird's nest or make an acorn to seed new ideas and other food to make including flowers, berries, and toadstoals for a fairy lunch or to sit.
Clothes and accessories patterns can be made into a variety of sizes and colours. There's even a set of slippers for tiny creature feet.

"Homes & Hideaway chapter has a fairy log and a Bulrush to help protect and cover your createchures from harm while resting. A special Treasure Trunk keeps shoes and clothes in order. These projects will start your creative process and are a basis for alternative ideas.
